Fashion was a ground-breaking bare-all movie of the fashion industry, released in October 2008, made in Hindi by the renowned filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. It starred the famous Priyanka Chopra who because of the movie is touching newer and higher peaks of success today. The movie broke all box-office records for a movie of its kind and also gave Priyanka Chopra almost all the Best Actress awards that season including the prestigious National Award.



The role of Kangana Ranaut, who plays the parallel lead in the Hindi version of the film is being planned to be enacted by the talented Priyamani. Direction of this movie will be carried out by one of the leading directors in the film industry who is revered in the south for his talent and finesse. He will be doing the direction of this National Award winning remake in both; the Tamil as well as the Telugu languages.

This movie will also be localised or in other words South Indianised a little without changing the spirit and main essence of the film. As it was in for Hindi cinema, it will be a new-age cinema in the Tamil and Telugu film industry that will give its audiences an inside story about the harsh realities of the lives of fashion models and the actual reality behind all the glitz and glamour of the fashion world.
